Leslie West and Peter Frampton Kill Mississippi Queen

Love Leslie's storytelling of his history with Peter too.........

I saw Mountain with Wet Willie and White Witch in the Macon Coliseum back in the 70's. I was barely a teenager and they blew my mind. I wish Leslie good health. I sure would like to see him again.
Thanks for the post Rob.

I only saw Leslie once, West, Bruce and Laing. They were kinda OK.........wouldn't say it was anything to write home about...........one of those power trios that never really took off. The other two times I had a chance to see Leslie were aborted. My cousin got married very young, must have been 1975, and I was in his wedding. Mountain was at Long Beach Arena that same night and I wanted to see them SO bad. I did the right thing and was at my cousin's wedding. I don't regret that, but I must admit regretting to this day never seeing Mountain. Then 5 or so years ago Leslie was part of one of those touring rock Festivals along with Johnny and Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer and Kim Simmonds (Savoy Brown). Leslie cancelled due to health issues and he was the main reason I bought a ticket. As you said, I hope Leslie is doing well these days, I know he's got very severe diabetes.
I have tickets on August 12th for Steve Miller, Peter Frampton and Night Ranger...........should be an excellent evening of classic rock. Peter is the main reason I got tickets.........only saw him once, in the 70's right around the time of Frampton Comes Alive..........he was good but IMO Peter has ALWAYS been good.
