I'm so happy he had some new found success with Elton and Union, and his induction into the RRHOF induction.

Also thankful I got to see him for the first time at WaneeFest 2013.

Leon has a deep connection in my life...i first saw him on the Leon Live tour...saw him when he came off his bus-such an impressive and charismatic human being...then briefly spoke with him after a show in nyc a few years ago...Leon was the musician(with the Brothers) who turned me on to blues music making the 70's a time of great musical exploration..man,i'm really gonna miss Leon...it was so sweet to see Derek and Susan playing with Leon too...

Thanks Elton it's nice to know some people never forget where they came from.Very touching RIP Leon.
