"Key to the Highway" Duane Betts | Stachela | K. England

This is pretty cool, Duane Betts and Johnny Stachela performing "Key to the Highway" with Keith Englund. Diehard Allman Bros fans know Keith as one of the ABB's backup singers during the last few Arista tours.

Here's Keith England backing up the ABB in 1982

Porkchopbob as you've probably noticed over the years many critics claim Gregg had writers block and never wrote another great song after Queen of Hearts on Laid Back and Wasted Words and Comeband Go Blues on Brothers and Sisters. Never Knew How Much is a great song with a beautiful melody. It should have gotten much more attention.
I tell you man Johnny Stachela is becoming a fantastic slide guitar player. Duane Betts is playing really good in recent years too.

Agree, I think it's the best song (maybe the only good song) from the Arista albums. "Just Ain't Easy" is my favorite off of Rogues too, so Gregg wasn't totally cold during that period. Johnny and Duane sound great together, and this clip is over 2 years old!

Yes Just Ain't Easy is another post Laid Back and Brothers and Sisters Gregg Allman song that is strong.

Duane has a very sweet tone.
Sounds excellent, thanks for the post.

**Caution- Name drop ahead**
Had a visit from Johnny Stachela and a long talk about the new record. I’ve known this kid for a long time now and have never seen him more excited. Hell, he got me fired up to hear it! Looking forward to it. These cats are starting to really lock in.
