Keith Richards
Keith Richards has donated the annual income from his music catalog to women's health needs, climate change efforts and arts education for kids.
In 2025 Richards' income from his music catalog netted him $160 million dollars.
The 82 year old Richards may begin to auction off some of his vast electric guitar collection which is said to total more than 3,000 instruments.
Richards has not officially retired but the Rolling Stones cancelled their 2026 tour due to Richards being unable to perform a series of shows. The guitarist can work in the studio but has to alter his style due to arthritis in the hands.
Keith Richards net worth in 2025 was pegged at $600 million dollars. Much of this was garnered from song writing credits and sold out live shows worldwide.
By contrast the wealthiest former member of the Allman Brothers Band which desovled in 2014 was Dickey Betts at $40 million.
Obiviously being in the Rolling Stones is much more lucrative than being in the Allman Brothers Band.
Gregg Allman was worth $15 million at his death. Unfortunately Gregg went broke in the 1980's and filed for bankruptcy. After the success of the " I'm No Angel" ( 1987 ) album ( 600,000 sold ) and successful touring in the Allman Brothers Band 1989-2014, Gregg was able to climb back financially becoming a multimillionaire once again.
Two years ago.
That kind of wealth, and just try to get a Stones ticket for under $300.
I haven't seen the Rolling Stones since 2015 at Heinz Field. Aside from the ticket prices - which weren't great 10 years ago - I would rather not see them without Charlie Watts, although I have heard the shows with Steve Jordan were good
@jack_frost Keith said Charlie Watts said if any happened to him that Steve Jordon is Charlie's choice to replace Charlie.
And Keith indicated that if Steve had not been interested they probably would have called an end to the band.
But they are not going out this year unless something has changed because Keith has arthritis in his hands and it's too painful to play.
Keith may have to settle at being worth only $600 million dollars and finally retire. Keith probably would enjoy looking over and deciding what he wants to do with the 3,000 electric guitars he owns.
Keith recently said he only has two hands so usually he has just 10 of them on the road with him and usually only uses just a couple of the 10 for the tour.
Keith has over 250 Les Paul guitars. If just 50 of those are from the 1950's that alone would make most people wealthy.
My favorite song Keith wrote for his solo band.
