Once again was well entertained by Junior Brown last night. He is one heck of a guitar player using his custom double neck guitar and is also a great singer. Absolutely worth checking out if he comes through your town.

That said, I wish so many solid artists would stop feeding the City Winery NYC beast - I really dislike the venue. I've gone a couple of times and I doubt I will go again. One third of the people in the crowd are eating and clanging glasses and plates, one third are talking loudly and not paying ANY attention as if they are at any bar, and maybe one third are watching the show. Joe's Pub does dinner and a show really well, they demand a much more respectful crowd, but for some reason the show at City Winery is secondary to the wine. But if they didn't treat the musicians well, I guess they'd stop playing there.
