Now there's a show that has a lot of energy...these guys are really juiced, hittin the note big time in this show.

Would love to hear from anyone who heard this monster....or better still, anyone who attended this show.

Duane and Dickey are tearing it up so intensely they sound like their guitars cut so deep they can draw blood.....wow.

Gregg...the best his voice can sound,silky,smooth,gruff...Berry and the drummers...wow...

So grab this show, turn it up and have a blast...

Hophead doesn't really come around here much anymore, but he once told me that was the best Allman Brothers show he ever saw.

He was actually disappointed when Live At Fillmore East came out a week or two later, because in his mind it paled in comparison to 7/17/71!

Now THAT is a strong recommendation, and from somebody who has probably listened to more Allman Brothers shows than anybody on this board.

That is also my younger brother's birthday, and I've always thought that was cool.

Rob-I'm so happy to read your post...im up to hot lanta, and as I sat here listening I was thinking this playing seems to surpass most of what I've heard...Duane is ferocious in a way I've never ever heard.Wow.

Hop...come on back to tell us more about this show...or I'm sure there was a thread?

Is this the Central Park show that Masahiko remastered? If so...its always been a standout for me. Dickey takes the most driven, brain-busting solo in Liz Reed ever. Truly a monster journey.

my birthday too. I need to get my hands on this show. I turned 10 on July 17th 1971. The Brothers didn't enter the equation for me until 74'.
