This is an update on Johnny Neel. As many of you know, Johnny had a stroke. He is getting the best care right now and is doing well. He’s awake and talking. The doctors are running tests. Your prayers are much appreciated. We’ll keep you all informed on his progress.
Prayers to Johnny for a speedy and full recovery.

Sorry to hear - hoping for a speedy and complete recovery.
Met Johnny many moons ago at BB King's in NYC. He and Matt Abts were doing a thing between ABB gigs. He was so nice. I think it was right after him and Matt put out that X2 album. He didn't know who I was but his helper had him sign the CD. Very sweet man. Wish him all the best.

Johnny Neel update! Johnny wanted everyone to know that he’s doing better everyday and to thank all of you so much for all the love and prayers, it means so much to him!!
His spirits remain high and hopeful. He’s singing to the nurses.... especially the two blondes that gave him his sponge bath. The speech therapist came in to work on speech and swallowing. She said I’m going to put a spoonful in your mouth and I need you to position it and swallow hard and fast...can you do that? He said ya baby!
The nurses told him they will be moving him to a rehab facility soon and said this is going to be a long hard road to recovery and he needed to commit to the work, follow all instructions and stay strong. Johnny said... oh, I got this, I am New Castle Strong baby!!
