Johnny got a boom boom

A wee bit o' Irish rockabilly for this Saturday morn.

Thanks for posting!
I really dig Imelda May. Seen her live twice and hopefully a 3rd time later this month. I really like her CD's. Own 3 but still have to pick up her latest offering "Tribal". But i already heard it a few times and saw her perform the majority of songs live and it's a very strong offering. Only thing i don't like is the fact that her latest 3 studio albums all have been re-released within a year or so with many bonus tracks and in case of "Love Tattoo" even with a live bonus CD. But i guess that the artist isn't to blame for these kind of tactics but the record company is. The hardcore fans pick up a new and anticipated release a.s.a.p. only to discover months later that an extended version has been released. She's also featured on Jeff Beck's rockabilly / Les Paul tribute CD/DVD but i think she's mostly doing slow and sometimes a bit cheesy song selections and far to little uptempo rockabilly in which she excells. Lovely voice. Currently my fave artist from Ireland a country i really love.

Not sure if the following tune was from the show you mention, or was included in the release if it is. I watched the entire show and enjoyed it very much. although Imelda isn't in the clip, Jeff and the band really tear this one up! 😛

Yep, from the same CD/DVD. Imelda sings lead on about a dozen songs and Trombone Shorty is a special guest on 1 or 2 songs and Brian Setzer on the encore.
