A very fun, entertaining concert tonight. Joe Walsh can certainly play that guitar. He is also pretty humorous and engaging. A winner of a concert for both me and the Mrs.

Good for you Mike! I've become a really big Joe fan the last few years. I hope to see him live sooner than later too. Cheers!

Walsh has still got it!!! Another survivor of the 70's *& 80's overindulgences. Hopefully he played Turn to Stone!! really diggin that tune lately, and that scene from the animated Heavy Metal movie is a riot!!!

Big fan too. Never seen him solo, only with the Eagles.

Here is my favorite Turn to Stone. Eagles, 1976:

Eagles 1976-1977 would be one of my top concerts to attend if I invented that way back machine, along with the ABB at Fillmore in March and June 1971, Allman Brothers Winterland 1973, Zeppelin 1975 tour, Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Fox 1976, The Band's Last Waltz, Jackson Browne 1978-1979, Rush Moving Pictures 1980, Van Morrison & The Caledonia Soul Orchestra 1973, Black Sabbath with Van Halen 1978, The Who 1978, Elvis Comeback Show 1968, Beattles Rooftop peformance and a whole bunch of others....

My first show wasn't until 1983 and I saw a bunch of great ones. Anyway, the Eagles were impeccable in 1976-1977 and Joe & Felder were an absolute great pair.

Great show end to end. His playing is pure rock and roll, no blues, jazz, whatever - it is "rock and roll guitar" as you would find in a dictionary. Saw the Eagles twice over the last few years and left very impressed which led me to hit the Joe Walsh show. Henley is playing the Beacon soon also, but that's a pass for me.

SETLIST:
Walk Away
A Life of Illusion
Over and Over
Analog Man
In the City
Pretty Maids All in a Row
Mother Says
Turn to Stone
The Bomber: Closet Queen/Bolero/Cast Your Fate to the Wind
Funk #49
Life's Been Good
I.L.B.T.'s
Life in the Fast Lane

Thanks for this post, I've been searching youtube for years for Turn to Stone, best one I found was the Don Kirshner Rock Concert. This is one of my favorite all time songs. Eagles really kill it on this version.

Joe Walsh is certainly a survivor from that era and is one of the most underrated songwriters / guitarists of the 70's. Apologies to "The Dude", but I've always liked the Eagles (from the 70's). The money grab in the 90's kinda turned me off.

Anyway thanks again and I'm glad you were able to enjoy his show.

Thank you Tim! It's been a long, long time since I've heard this. Cool
