Joe Walsh on AI

Love Joe's comments on AI. I've always liked Joe Walsh. A great guitarists and writer and a very good slide player.
Joe is why Jimmy Page switched from a Tele to a Les Paul for the rest of Jimmy's career in Led Zeppelin. Joe gave or sold Jimmy Page his first Les Paul didn't he?
Here is Joe with Paul Shaffer talking about songs. Watched this two years ago and liked it!!

I have a lot of respect for Don Henley. I've never been a big Eagles fan but I respect them for their enormous success.
Joe Walsh net worth 2023: $80 million.
Don Henley net worth 2023: $250 million.

@robertdee Very expensive pranks! maybe that's why he only has $80 mil compared to Henley's $250 mil? 😉

Joe's being funny, but it is interesting how much music can be generated artificially, purely by a computer program. It is not a threat to genuine music, but pop mass consumed music or music - the concept of a pop star, image, voice and music could be completely fictitious someday. I do not hear pop music often unless I'm around kids or stumble across it accidentally and it seems pretty easy to just have a computer make all that stuff, a lot of it probably already is computer enhanced anyhow.

@nebish Much pop music now doesn't have a bass player, drummer or most keyboards. All computer sounds programmed.
Some artists also lip sync to their own recorded voice too. Madonna's excuse was age and her show being so physical with lots of dance moves, said she would be out of breath too much to sing the notes.
Plus her recorded voice is often layered with several tracks on top of each other her live voice wouldn't sound like the records.
The audience usually is hearing the album and seeing the artist and other dancers on stage.
Mick Jagger just turned 80. I imagine they will switch to this format. While you hear their actual albums over the speakers, some sidemen maybe including Chuck Leavell will hold and be behind instruments and jump around while pictures of Mick, Keith and Ron Wood will be seen on big screens.
