Great read - thanks. Always love your writing and the personal touch that the ABB gets.

Life friendships with or without music are special things. I am lucky enough to still be friends with most of the guys I grew up with. I started playing in bands with some of them before we could even really tune a guitar. That didn't stop us. We also put on shows and charged people. Did originals as we could not actually play other peoples' tunes. LOL - A quarter got you in the show - we blew sh*t up, created smoke bombs that were actually toxic but looked cool and our drummer once wore a tin foil mask. He was billed as The Mystery Drummer From England. Should have been obvious as we did the shows at his house. We were 8 years old and would draw 50+ kids to our shows. Proof that blowing sh*t up works. LOL - By 13, we were playing some shows with 1000+ and knew how to play. We still blew sh*t up too. Learned that those smoke bombs when used indoors will affect peoples' ability to breathe and get the Local Fire Dept on scene. Opening that show with 8 bombs that explode and cause a tower of smoke out of each garbage can seemed like a really cool idea.

Bonds like The ABB are rare and even with all the bumps and twists - The Road does indeed go on forever. I bet they blew sh*t up sometimes too. Just not on stage.
