Gregg said Jaimoe told him Jack sounds more like Duane on slide than any of the guitarist who came later.

Personally I don't hear much of Duane in Jack"s slide. But I sure do with Derek.

Jack is so good , Just a shame a studio album never came with JP in the band.

An incredible shame. He would have left a MARK.

Specifically check the Jack Blue Sky solo from 3.11.1998 BEST ever any performer in or out of the band. The AWTNM, Nobody Knows, High Falls and Lizzy from that one are pretty great too.

And check out last part of second set on 9.12.98 Raleigh. Edit to add: specifically the YDLM through Liz Reed.

They promised a live release from the Jack years, 1997-1999. And they were going to invite Jack to pick the shows and tracks. But that was several years ago. I

Yep, https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/rock/7809755/gregg-allman-brothers-manager-bert-holman-band-archives. 3 days after GA passed. Dated 5.30.17. Interview probably done day before. So say 2 days after GA passed.

""The organization also plans to release something from guitarist Jack Pearson's tenure (1997-1999) with the group. "We're trying to figure out which (show) to put out," Holman says. "We'll ask Jack for his memory, any nights that stood out in his mind as a player."" -Bert Holman.

I'd rather see a JP release before the Erie, PA or Fresno releases. Both of those versions have A TON of releases by them out.

JP and OB era?

None. Past tiime to change that!

^ Brad, the WHOLE thing would make a nice official DVD release.

I saw Jack sing Dimbles in 1997 live and he, Dickey and Otiel really hooked together. I guess the first year they did Dimples since Duane Allman suddenly left the band in 1971.
