Happy Thanksgiving if you are American.

That was real good. Never see anything from Jack Pearson that I didnt really enjoy. Jack is a really good player.

I remember the first show of the summer of 1997 I saw with the ABB and Jack sang Dimples. Apparently the first time for Dimples since Duane died and they played it sporadically in the original band and never put it on an album. A live version is on Duane Allman an anthology volume 2.

Jack's singing and solos and his interplay with Dickey was fantastic.

When you have Jack in any band, you know at least his part will be good.

Cool WORD - whether it’s the 1993 show w/Warren, the 2005 shows w/Derek, of course his playing w/Dickey in those late-90s shows....

The three short timers in the band - the late great Dan T, Jack & Jimmy H - were great great players, & must mention Dan Toler’s 2nd go-round w/DB&GS also - have been partial to that era for a long time now to his 1977-82 DB&GS>ABB run Grin
Real sweet vid, Mississippi Delta blues - shades of his Searchin’ For Simplicity sound
Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

I need to play Searchin' for Simplicity. Haven't listened to it in a long time. That one didnt sell very well for some reason. But it outsold Two the Hard Way by Allman and Woman. Gregg said they couldn't give it away. Gregg had two albums to go gold. (500,000 plus) Laid Back and I'm No Angel.

And Danny Toler was Gregg Allman's lead player from 1982 to 1989. Danny was real disappointed when Gregg folded his band to rejoin the ABB in 1989. They played a lot of small clubs and joints and by 1987 things were improved especially with the album going gold. From 1981 to 1987 Gregg couldn't get a record deal. Neither could Dickey. Then Epic took a chance on both of them but soon decided to press for bringing the Allman Brothers back out. Gregg and Dickey approached Butch and Jaimoe but refused Epic on going in the studio. They wanted to tour first and make sure they could bring it and not mess with their legacy. Gregg and Butch felt the last two albums almost ruined it. But I like most of Reach For the Sky.

Just a shame jack did not end up on a ABB studio album. Would love to see him write and record with Derek someday.
