It looks like the Fox Box is getting a rerelease

For those who didn't pick up these three great shows when they were still available, it looks like you get a second chance.

That looks like a bootleg, not a legitimate release. If they are copying from the original CD's, the audio should be good.

It says the label is Peach Records. Might be legit re-release since Instant Live is no more.

Hope it's a remaster or different source. I do not enjoy the sound of the Fall 2004 Instant Lives. That's certainly a reflection of how unbelievably spoiled I've become thanks to the dynamite sound quality of some many other live ABB releases - but still - do not like the Fall '04 mixes.

I went to all three shows (as did several folks from the site) and bought the shows there. I don't know if there's a difference between the ones you purchased after the fact and the ones I got at the shows but the discs sound great. They sound great on my itunes and ipod too.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

I ordered the Fox Box soon after its release and was disappointed about the muddy mix, especially when compared to Instant Lives from 2003.

I was at one of those shows, darnit - I had a chance to meet up with fine folks here and missed it.
I too have the Instant Lives from two of those nights.

And on the front page here.
It also looks like there is a compilation called Ultimate Collection coming out.
As well as a grey market release The First Live Recordings.

The good news is that these are remastered so the issues of the original mix will be fixed (we hope). Also available for download now or physical discs in April. Maybe there is hope for other releases.

Also "as well as tightening up of the song spacing" is welcome, and likely why has cut it from 9 to 8 discs. I like the feeling of being there at the show, but trimming the dead space at the beginning and end of song tracks will be more than welcome (though I am unlikely to upgrade to these).

I never did grab these shows the first time around. I may have to make the investment; I do like the idea of 3 shows with no repeats!!!!

looking forward to this release

There have been a lot of great shows released from the past decade-plus, but collectively The Fox Box is my favorite release from the Warren/Derek era. Jack Pearson's "Dreams" from the Fox Box is near the top all time. I'm glad for anyone who didn't get the chance to pick these up 13 years ago(!) that these are getting re-released.

One of the favorites I return to again and again. Don't have the bucks to buy this new upgraded version but I won't let it lessen my enjoyment of the original discs.

I wonder what the packaging is like? Any special booklets or anything like that?

I was wondering exactly the same! I hope it will be nicely done (sturdy outside box, booklet etc.) but personally i think the front image looks kinda cheap / quickly done.
