Knew next-to- nothing about this band until last night. Theatrical hard rock/ metal not being a favourite genre of mine. ( my preconceived prejudices coming out in that statement.
Was presented a freebie to their "Book of Souls " current tour last night and their playing blew me away. 3 guitarists who played AMAZINGLY well and with great spirit / gusto. Bassist , drums and singer were
tight as ... and just great playing overall IMO.
Also the theatrics / backing sets were awesome too... but not giving too much credit there .... Madonna can do that.
Anybody else catch them in recent times or whenever ?
Pretty much every tour since they first came to North America long ago. Most times multiple shows and can guarantee that they never mail it in.
Also they are some of the nicest guys in the music business and love to share their beers. 
Up The Irons!
They are an amazing band. Never heard too many even average reviews about their live show.
