This is wonderful, and I highly recommend any Deadhead or anyone marginally interested in Weir take a look.  A 1 hour 34 minute tribute which occurred in downtown San Francisco on Saturday 1/17/26.  Speakers included San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, Nancy Pelosi, Joan Baez, Mickey Hart, John Mayer, Sammy Hagar, Weir's wife and two daughters, and WAY too many more to name, many of whom appeared in zoom, not in person. Mayer's speech was especially touching, and he teared up towards the end.  Weir's wife was so emotional that she barely made it through her speech.  It was not a musical tribute, with the exception of a lovely rendition of Ripple towards the end, led by Mayer.   Looked like there had to be at least 50,000 Deadheads in attendance, all standing.  Thanks for the link, Don!  (dzsobo)

Thanks Rob.  I've seen some of the videos from the memorial including John Mayer et al singing Ripple.

In 1995, I was in SF the same weekend as the Jerry tribute at Golden Gate Park.  I thought about attending (hotel was close by) but knew once I got there, I wasn't leaving until it was over; girlfriend (now wife) wouldn't have been happy.  That evening, the local radio station did a best of New Years Eve Dead show and it was a blast.  We were driving thru SF with the moonroof open cranking it along with other drivers etc.  Hard to believe it's been 30+ years.  "The music never stops..."
