Heavy Metal Be Bop Podcast-Bill Ward episode

I stumbled upon this podcast earlier this week.
From the website:" Heavy Metal Bebop is a series of conversations about jazz and metal, hosted by writer and musician Hank Shteamer"
Its pretty interesting. In the link I am providing it is a conversation with Bill ward about his drumming, getting into playing, growing up, jazz influences and techniques and incorporating them into Sabbath. I told my kids and some of their friends, who play guitars, bass, drums and etc awhile back is to listen to Sabbath and listen to some of their up-tempo songs and their jazz influences that drive it. They do not hide it by any means. Bill is a very underrated and what he brought to that band. Very talented in my opinion. There is a part where he talks about Bonham..pretty cool stuff to hear.
I think I listen to podcasts about music more than I listen to music these days.!! 😛 😛 😉 😉

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Great, Thanks for sharing, Love Bill Ward. My favorite drummer of all time and a very intelligent man.

I love the jazziness of that generation of drummers. Bands as widely ranged as Sabbath to the Doors to King Crimson had a wonderful swing beneath their rhythms.
