Happy Anniversary ABB

Yes Match 26th1969 is the day they chose as the beginning of the Allman Brothers Band. When Gregg arrived they played Trouble No More with Berry singing and Gregg was caught off guard. He had never heard a band in person sound that good and assumed he couldn't cut the gig and told Duane the band was beyond his ability. And we all know what happened was Duane blew a fuse and told him he had been bragging about his brother to these musicians and pushed Gregg's buttons, got him mad and they did the song again with Gregg and BAM all the guys were impressed with Gregg Allman.

11/22/1969 a one hour (almost) Mountain Jam.

Blue Sky!! Duane Allman knocks it out of the park then Dickey Betts hits it farther!! A tape measure home run!! Dickey playing with that melodic yet intense style that he use to do so well!

I wish I were 25 again instead of 75 and could see the original Allman Brothers Band again! No other ABB lineup or other band blew me away like they could. They could pound the ground and shake the place when they were jamming.
Listen to this alternative version of You Don't Love Me and a surprising jam kicks off about half way in. Man this was some band!!!!

This looks and sounds terrific!! The REAL Allman Brothers Band!!
Now where is the rest of it?

Ahhh! Removed again!! If we can't view just a few songs from the Atlanta Pop Festival in 1970 professionally shot IN COLOR!! WHAT IS THE REASON?????????
It certainly can't be because the copyright holder plans to have a big DVD release in all it's glory.
I assume that is the case because it NEVER happens!!
We are so far removed from the original band now it's doubtful much of the market for that is still there.
So what IS the reason this footage is kept private?

When my wife and I were out to early vote this morning I had the Michael Bloomfield channel on Pandora. Low and behold, "Don't Want you No More" came on. One of the finest opening album tunes ever. A portrayal of the power of the ABB!

@owencarol Yeah I love that too. Makes me think of the Mike Callahan portion in the doc "Please Call Home" where he says da da-da daaa da. And speaks to the power of the band and tears up. Gets me every time!

The first show I saw of the 1975 Win, Loose or Draw tour opened with it! First time I noticed it since Duane Allman was in the band. It felt good!!
