Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Wow, they're playing MetLife Stadium. Hmmm. I'm a little surprised. That's where the NY Giants play.
My days of going to football stadiums to see music are SO done. There was a stint in the 80s / 90s where I would see the Dead, Stones, Who, and Floyd in the 60,000 seaters. Fun times too. Not great sound or vision, just a fun melee. But after being spoiled by so many lovely theater shows and rocking club shows, I just can't see going back.
I also am just not sure who, if anyone, draws that kind of crowd anymore. I have not been paying attention. I think the Who plays arenas like MSG but not stadiums anymore.
Can Guns n Roses fill a football stadium?

I'm definitely interested in AT&T Park on 8/9 in San Francisco...........the most beautiful ballpark in the world (SF Giants). We'll see what they're charging for tickets though.
Are Slash and Duff on board for this entire tour?

Agree with you completely. I can see Zeppelin but GnR ?
Not so much. Not even a VH reunion. Maybe they will team up with more bands.

ZZZZZzzzzzzzz

They were charging $45 to become a fan club member so you could participate in the presale this morning.
I'd like to go, the Cincy and Pittsburgh dates don't coordinate well with some other plans I have however.
Read somewhere last week they were hoping to bring in 3-5 million per show. Wonder how full these stadiums will be and if they will need to add some significant acts to the bill? Last stadium show I saw was Metallica with Limp Biscuit and Linkin Park I think it was and there were plenty of seats open as I remember.

Plus who knows after these April shows if Slash and Duff realize how much they hated working with Axl...but probably too much money to pass up on the summer tour no matter how much of an ass he might be.
Edit - found this story talking about how the money can work out:
Even with this history of gross unpredictability (although Rose has definitely tightened up his act in recent years) and transcendent performances, sources say both AEG Live and Live Nation have their hats firmly in the ring to produce a 2016 GNR stadium tour. The financial risks for stadium shows are huge, even with proven draws. Production costs run roughly $1.6 million -- plus talent costs and an average tax of five to seven percent. With those expenses, it could take a box-office gross of about $4.8 million just to break even, and with an acceptable promoter profit of $300,000-400,000, the gross would have to hit $5.1-5.2 million before the band would get into overage (meaning enough tickets have been sold for the band to receive a percentage of the gross). Stadiums provide the capacity to put 8,000-9,000 tickets at the P1 price point of about $250, providing the artist can sell at that level; one promoter interviewed by Billboard estimates a ticket scale ranging from $250 - $59. To come out in the black on these estimated expenses would require a $100 average ticket price on 50,000 fans, or a $90 average ticket price on 60,000 tickets sold.
If a show does get into overage it could add another $200,000 or so the band’s estimated $3 million payday. A GNR reunion would likely spur huge merchandising sales -- as much as $20 per head -- generating another $750,000 to $1 million, with the lion’s share also going to the band.

Welcome to the Jungle Pit Experience = $1745!
Paradise City VIP Lounge = $745
Civil War VIP Riser = $620
Live and Let Die VIP = $490

Looking at the Heinz Field show in Pittsburgh, there are of course thousands of tickets still available. They went on sale Friday the 8th. Floor seats range from $742-$146. Other levels range from $146-$96-$46. If I was able to go I might pay the $46-96 range.
I wonder how last night's show went at the new Vegas arena?

I am going to check out the MetLife Stadium show with the Mrs. What the heck - grabbed mid level tix on TM and if it is a nice night it should be interesting at least. The review from last night was very positive also.
