In 2019, GUNS N' ROSES' "Not In This Lifetime" tour became the No. 3 highest-grossing tour in the history of Billboard Boxscore.
"Not in This Lifetime" featured classic-lineup members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Axl Rose (vocals) backed by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
GUNS kicked off its long-rumored and long-awaited reunion tour with an April 2016 club show in Hollywood and appearances in Las Vegas and at California's Coachella festival.
The band is now reportedly working on a new studio album — the first under the GUNS banner since 2008's "Chinese Democracy" and the first to feature Rose, Slash and McKagan since 1993.
MAMMOTH WVH's self-titled debut album will be released on June 11 via Explorer1 Music Group/EX1 Records. Wolfgang wrote all the songs and performed all of the instrumentation and vocals on the LP.
MAMMOTH WVH made its television performance debuts of the first single "Distance" in February as an electric performance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and an exclusive acoustic arrangement on NBC's "Today".
Last November, Wolfgang confirmed that he asked his father, legendary VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen, for permission to use the MAMMOTH WVH band name for his solo project. MAMMOTH WVH is a nod to family history — Eddie and Alex Van Halen's band was called MAMMOTH when singer David Lee Roth first joined it in 1974.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Meh, they have become a legacy band playing the same old songs over and over but in their case they don't have a very big catalog to lean on like the Stones, Aerosmith and other bands that basically only play their back catalog now.
JMO but I don't ever think they release another GnR album with Axl as he doesn't seem to have any motivation to create new music as long as he can milk that old song cow.
Just me but I would rather go see Slash and Myles Kennedy put out a new album together every year and tour clubs and theaters.
Myles does a great job on the old GnR songs and also Snakepit and VR songs. Tickets are cheap and I am not miles away form the stage.

When I bought this album I wasn't expecting legendary character actor Strother Martin to be on this track. It was a surprise. Maybe like Vincent Price rapping at the end of Thriller by Michael Jackson.

I just think there would be alot of pressure and hype to live up to as far as the success of Appetite and Illusion. Not saying it would be a flop if they did make a new one, but this is a different time an era. Not sure those guys /Axl would want to face that down. It would be interesting to see what they could do though. The RNR music scene could use a good kick in the pants these days and it would be nice to see this band turn that genre around and get some momentum. Doubt that it would happen, but anyways its fun to dream! They have been milking the "Not In This Life Time " Tour since 2016. If people are paying it....
Yeah,I like Myles and Slash is great, but I have been underwhelmed by what they have produced as far as studio stuff. I really want to like it, but its hit or miss with me, and seems to miss more. I think maybe an outside song writer or a strong producer might help.
While we are on the subject....
I thought it would have been intriguing to hear what Axl could have done as far as being the front man and songwriting partner on new AC/DC material. Don't get me wrong I am a huge Brian fan, but Axl could have made that worth a listen and maybe more
Myles fronting the trio of Page,Jones and Jason Bonham would have been interesting. He has talked about those sessions over the years. Not sure why it did not take off. That is just pure speculation on my part. I dont know, maybe just not feeling it and the shadow of Plant looming large...Page's decision?

Nice slot for Mammoth WVH.

@jszfunk I think it is Axl who is afraid to release new music as he has very thin skin and can't take criticism. Slash has had no problem putting out new music and his rejoining Guns has basically stifled his creativity as no new music since he got back with Axl. No doubt there would be huge hype for a new album as there was for Chinese Democracy which sold pretty well but was underwhelming IMHO so doubt Axl wants to go through the bashing he took over that fiasco.
He took, what, close to 10 years before he released Chinese Democracy under protest after the label cut off his funding so I doubt he ever puts out new music. With Slash or anyone else. I think he is happy to milk the Guns cow to fund his lifestyle and ride off into the sunset.
Reminds me of Jimmy Page who I also doubt will ever release new music unless Robert Plant has a change of mind and agrees to work with him again.
I have no interest in Axl fronting AC/DC as his voice comes and goes and he struggles to hit the high notes now. I just don't see him fitting in with their style of music as he is not really into hard rock these days and AC/DC is best when keeping it simple. I was happy Brian was back in the band but they lost their musical muse when Malcolm passed away I think.
Personally, I like much of what Slash has done out of GnR but I get it is not for everyone. I saw him with Myles and his solo band half a dozen times and they put on great shows and do a nice cross-section setlist of Guns, Snakepit, VR and Solo stuff and Myles sings them all effortlessly IMHO. But I get why he is putting up with Axl again as they are raking in major $$$ with these nostalgia tours and money talks.
