The "Not In This Lifetime" tour features classic GUNS N' ROSES lineup members Slash (guitar), Duff McKagan (bass) and Axl Rose (vocals) backed by drummer Frank Ferrer, guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and new second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
According to Billboard, the North American leg of the "Not In This Lifetime" summer stadium tour grossed a whopping $116.8 million with over one million tickets sold, a staggering amount for a rock band in 2016.
The trek kicked off on June 23 and included 25 concerts in 21 stadiums, wrapping on August 22.
Out of the stadiums that hosted the band for two performances, the New York City market produced the top box office counts with ticket sales reaching $11.6 million at MetLife Stadium from 100,177 fans at two concerts. Meanwhile, Chicago's Soldier Field, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts and L.A.'s Dodger Stadium each topped the $8 million mark in revenue from their two-show stints.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Initially, that looks like an odd list of U.S. venues. Is the idea that they are skipping places that they hit in 2016, such as the New York City area or Boston or Chicago?

I had conflict with prior dates last summer. I may plan on going this summer. Ambious 2017 tour schedule. I suppose the fear of Axl's voice failing or the band falling apart again is a threat. Lots of money coming in though...

It looks like there's at least one day off between each show, which is wise for the voice. Ive always been amazed to see bands mdo tons of back to back nights when their singer is a belter.

And most are 2 or more nights off. Good idea. Particularly as he's getting older and being a screamer.
It'll be interesting to see where this lineup goes. If it's a nostalgia trip, then it makes sense to bring the Appetite lineup together. Adler frankly isn't good enough to play the whole catalog, so it'd have to be more like what the Stones did with Mick Taylor and bring them out for an Appetite portion of the show.
They haven't done many interviews since the 3 of them reunited, but I did see one interview where Axl described Izzy along the lines of a weirdo or mercurial, and didn't see him being involved. Izzy responded with a tweet (since removed, I think) saying the band didn't want to split the "loot" equally, so he won't be involved. Nothing more to discuss. So I see little chance of that happening.
Also, Axl has talked about sharing new material with Duff and Slash, as if they may do more than a nostalgia trip and actually put out new music together. But in the same interview Axl says he may have them play on it, as if it's a much more tenuous arrangement and obviously Axl still "owns" the band and it's his decision. He also said in the same interview he was more interested in scoring movie soundtracks than doing anything new with Guns. So who knows with these guys?
Enjoy it while it lasts.
