Just curious if anyone has tried out some of the various plugins available for guitar.

I was asked by a friend to check some out as he is looking.

So not a big believer in computer stuff. More of an old school guy. But most companies have a 14 Day Free Trial so why not?

I have tried a few of the offerings from Neural DSP

https://neuraldsp.com/

I was completely amazed at how good these systems are. Based on systems of various artists but it doesn't matter as I dial in all my own sounds anyway.

Unreal!!! - The sounds that I was able to get were so good. And for $108 to $150?

Then I trialed the company that has been attacking me thru social media for a year. Bias FX and their Spark amps.

Well the Bias FX system.......even better than the Neural systems.

I have dialled in all sorts of sounds from clean thru to metal and back - Good Lord it sounds amazing.

Was wondering if anyone else has tried these?

I honestly didn't turn on amp on for weeks.

I was supposed to hate this and be negative - but hard when you sound so good.

Maybe in a free trial I would check it out. Never been one to use pedals or plug into a computer. I have two pedals one is a wah the other is an eq/ boost. That's it.
Other than that, it's just guitar(humbuckers),cable, amp, done. Not that I would not be willing to try it out ,but just have not had the desire to do so yet. I am sure I will at some point.Might be fun to play around with.

I am as "old school" as it gets. Absolutely thought that I would hate it and pick it apart for whatever reason.

Can't do it. It sounds amazing. So many amps/effects etc - so far everything sounds real close or exactly as it should.

Bias FX also has a Guitar Match feature. You input your guitar type/pickups and then it takes samples of notes from up and down your neck. After it reads your guitar, you can then choose from various guitar types and it will convert your sound to that instrument. So you can make your Les Paul sound like a Strat and make your Strat sound like a Les Paul. perfect? No but really f'n cool. They have all sorts of guitars, Les Pauls, Strats, Tele, 335 etc - real cool.

Sat for hours last night. Amazed at all the various amps/sounds.
