End set two with a LONG INTENSE "Whipping Post".
Encore 1:
"Revival"
"The Thrill Is Gone"
Encore 2
They bring out Clapton & do "Layla" with an extra long piano coda somehow morphing into "Little Martha". As the house lights come up, a recording of Dandy Don Meredith singing "Turn Out The Lights The Party's Over".

Gregg solo, singing to Derek and Warren
Please Call Home

It'll be "Midnight Rider" with the 2 new guitarists on stage.

It's gotta be little Martha.. The same way they close every show

With the last show being the night before the anniversary of Duane's death, I am pretty sure it will be "Will the Circle Be Unbroken". It would be fitting. As would lLittle Martha.

Will the Circle Be Unbroken >Little Martha.
Ill be a mess

One Way Out with Bruce Willis on harp 😉

Fireworks, lasers and smoke bombs - as Dickey leaps through a ring of fire and strikes the opening riff of Ramblin Man!

Then after the climatic Dickey Betts ending to the song....and saying "how's it hangin' darlin'?!", he tells everyone to go to the new ABB website to get the 2015 tour dates!

My vote is for "Ain't wasting time no more"....that would be a great closer to a great 45 year run.....one of Gregg's if not Gregg's best tune

It's got to be Whipping Post.

THe Carpenter's ..........Love will keep us together.................
But really...........a thunderous version of what should be the "last" song WHIPPIN POST w dickey ............
just sayin.............

all previous guitarists of ABB playing a rendition of "Start me Up" with Keith Richards in the middle...with his guitar hanging down to his ankles....then Dickey can leap thru the ring of fire...& he and Greg can do a duet of "Win lose or draw"

The Carpenter's ..........Love will keep us together.................
I believe this was the Captain & Tennille

Go back and listen to WP from 9-26-73 @ Winterland and you'll see why this is the consensus choice for the last song.

Yeah, right?...Kinda can't believe I remembered that

Gotta be WP.

Gotta be WP.
The next morning, there should be news helicopters flying over the ruins of what was once the Beacon Theater as the reporter gives the account of the thundering version of the final Allman Brother's selection - Whipping Post, that "literally, brought the house down". There should be accompanying video of the zombie-like peachheads unearthing themselves from the rubble and walking towards the Fairway for breakfast uttering words like, "Awesome!" and "Cool!"

Mountain Jam>Little Martha>Mountain Jam
Just getting ready to post the same thing. Wow, great minds.....

Great post Rusty

"The Last Time" by the Rolling Stones
Maybe the last time, I don't know..

Drunken Hearted Boy ...

I would think it would almost be a given that they'd end the last night at the Beacon with "One Way Out" with everyone at the Beacon singing out all the words & going nuts & doing an extended version until everyones spent... then everyone hits the streets & bars of NY.
Now I wanna go & be there!

Some good ideas and funny ones too!
Who knows..lots of obvious songs to choose from. All well worth a send off for this lineup.
It will be interesting to see the setlists for this run. Will they try and play most of their catalog, keep the covers to a minimum, maybe keeping the last night for "ABB " songs only etc..
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

From the Madness of the West

They should end the final show with "Don't Want You No More/It's Not My Cross To Bear". That likely has never been the last song of a concert. End it like it all began.

I am guessing whipping post followed by a brief little martha and then Gregg saying what a great bunch and walking off

I don't see them doing Little Martha as the last song because I would expect Gregg, Jaimoe and Butch would want to participate in the last song.
Tough call. How can you really pick a "Last Song."
Hope it's Whipping Post AND THEN something else to finish it.

Revival. It will be perfect for the moment.

I would like to see a Whipping Post closer and Revival encore... good call. It would also be logical to segway into Will the Circle Be Unbroken, or at least have an interlude in Revival.
