I seen where they had plans for this. Isn’t Butch Trucks remains to be put there as well? I want to go over and see this when it’s completed.
Last month when I visited the Big House I heard it mentioned that Gregg's estate was finalized and plans for Rose Hill would start. Someone said Duane's grave would get a black marble top and the steps between he and Gregg's graves would be moved so they would be side by side.

I really think Duane and Gregg should be side by side.
It should be Gregg & Butch who are side by side - Duane's & BO's gravesites have been sacrosanct for almost 50 years, they should be left alone & the remains of 2 men who were in the ABB all the way through, side by side nearby

Why does box of dead bones and dust need to be "sacrosanct"?
It makes far more sense to move them together.

Dig a hole, move the box(es).
This has been the plan for a long time.
Am a big Allman Brothers fan but have never been to Rose Hill Cemetery, so can't speak from personal experience, but from everything I've read from those who have visited there over the decades, they've experienced reverence and respect in a sacrosanct place for Duane and Berry. Practically everyone who's posted since the website came along has said so
Some 15-20 years ago, the gravesite was gussied up & an attractive appropriate fence put up & I for one don't think Duane's & Berry's graves should be disturbed, if that's what the plan is. Maybe it's just a box of dead bones and dust buried there to some, to most others IMO, a memorial to two brothers & time that was

I heard when Gregg passed that they were able to obtain more plots next to Duane and Berry. The plan that was mentioned at the time was to remove the stairway between Gregg & the other 2. I hope that is all that this is.
hopefully just move the damn stairs,bury greg next to duane and butch next,Duanes body was already messed with by leaving him unburied for couple of years. Thats enough messing around I think. Then when others pass they just lay them in next sequence.Glad to hear they're doing something further now.For sure they won't please everybody whatever is done.
I don't find there is an ounce of reverence lost by visiting a place
to pay ones respects because of common sense, planned by the living/
relatives adjustments, and I have visited many such places.
The reverence remains because people bring it instead of
criticizing and complaining. Over time nothing remains of remains
but a place of pilgrimage remains because people preserve that
sense of destination.

My comment was geared towards which of the 3 burials would be easiest to move..One that is a little over a year old(That i think doesn't have a marker/headstone yet?) or 2 that have been in place for almost 50 yrs that have markers etc .
Leave the grave stones alone and Put Gregg next to Duane.
Last I read anything from Gregg's manager, they aren't moving anybody. The steps will be removed with grass added so the two grave sites will become one. And he said Butch Trucks was cremated but they were going to invite his family to put his ashes there. And other members can go there too if they wish. If Butch goes there then Dickey and Jaimoe are the only two left. But family members may want to go there too. Gregg bought several graves from a woman who was willing to sell them so he and others could go close to Duane and Berry. And I think Butch Trucks' ashes were invited to be put in a wall that will go there. Anyone read that?

They could set it up the way they were on stage. Moving them may allow this to happen.
