Gregg Allman Discusses Hospitalization
Early last month, Gregg Allman was forced to cancel a string of tour dates due to a “serious health issue,” and ahead of his return to the stage this weekend at his own Laid Back Festival at Red Rocks, Allman has discussed his illness in an interview with Westword (via Live for Live Music).“Right in the middle of the thing I got pneumonia,” Allman says. “Yeah, that was a drag. I was almost to the end of a tour. I had to two more to go, and damn, it just set in. I had to postpone two of the gigs, but we’ll go back and make them up, for sure.”In a press release earlier this month, Allman announced that his doctors had given him a clean bill of health to return to the stage at Red Rocks. “I just can’t wait to get back out there,” Allman said in the release. “I’ve gotten so stir crazy these last few weeks. I feel best when I’m traveling and playing. That’s what keeps me going, and there’s no better place to start than Red Rocks.”

Hmmm ... the pneumonia seems to have affected the mind as well. I believe it was more than two dates. Perhaps he meant two months of dates. Anyway glad he's feeling better.
I'm overjoyed to hear that Gregg is on the mend. I am certainly not through going to see Gregg Allman & Friends yet. Had a freebie for Gregg/ZZ Top here in the Bay area but that was one of his cancelled shows.
Gregg says he's finally got the band he always wanted to and after hearing him the last two years, I believe that. Here's one I shot nearly exactly one year ago:

He'll be in NY for Election Day - oh boy, I hope he has his absentee ballot ready, and I hope he makes America great again. I know he liked Bill Clinton, but Bill is NOT Hillary. The policies Bill put in place helped America, Hillary's foreign policies will be a continuation of what Obama has done and I don't think that is working out so well.
Who there gina, siddown. take it easy. Yeah, it's true. Sometimes you can still get dope laced with stuff that can really twist your perception.

Girl, this is a thread about Brother Gregg hopefully getting better. It is not about politics. How about trying whipping post for this?
As for voting I can only sp eculate it would never be for any racist candidate but as Gregg has said before politicians kiss your a** to get elected and then tell you to go kiss theirs.
