He may not be through for this year. Look for a few in my neck of the woods near, or at, year's end. Cool

I guess people don't appreciate a good riddle anymore!

NYE in Atlanta, plus one other show. No venue info, but I'm guessing Symphony Hall.

Macon will get two shows around the same time. Guessing Grand Opera House is the venue.

That sounds about right.

Brock, thanks for calling while you were in NYC, wish i could have made that dinner. I am just now floating back to earth after those 6 Beacon shows. Wow, it's all i have been thinking about. Incredible shows. Smile

We got dates, a lot of dates!

http://www.greggallman.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Calendar&file=listevents-gaf2009-all

For Symphony Hall:

A tip from having learned the hard way on a show there this yr. Usually the top tier price (here $149.50!) is just for the pit which is the 1st three rows (and is not a segregated area like the Fox). I am going to search orchestra instead of best available and expect a base price closer to $100. The loge has some great-sounding seats too, so I may consider that, and I think it is another price step down from front orch.

The Ryman is showing SIMO opening, so maybe that is who will open elsewhere. I had never heard of them, so I looked into them:

Not bad!

Anyone know what if there will be different set lists for the muilti-date shows (Macon, Nashville)?
Would assume there would be but don't want to see the same show two nights in a row.
Any past experience here for Gregg solo?

Brock,

I believe that is the band of JD Simo, a guitarist that's making quite a name for himself in the Nashville area, like Guthrie Trapp and others. I've seen him play with Jackie P a couple times and he is legit. Wouldn't be surprised if he came out a tune or 2 with Gregory's band. On that note, I really hope Jackie P is around as well.

A few months ago, I head Simo's version of "Texas Flood" on XM's Bluesville. It was very good. It's the only song I've heard by him, but I was quite impressed.

Country music must suck these days, if they bury Merle Haggard under people named "Kip Moore" and "Jake Owen"

Gregg & ZZ Top on the same day.

Look at the names that Gregg is buried under.

Sad state of affairs, The ABB would top the bill but Gregg's health prevents the ABB from touring.

😉
