Great Frontmen who both sing & play an instrument

Well, over on Youtube's Sea of Tranquility page, a theme this month was great frontmen who both sing & play an instrument. It was tough to narrow it down, but I came up with some for my list. I picked people from different genres. By the way, I was just thinking on top of my head each day I picked one, and I didn't end up picking anyone from the Allmans, Gov't Mule, etc. I should've, but I just forgot. But I do want to acknowledge Gregg, Dickey, Warren, etc. Anyway, here's my list, and they're not ranked in any order:
Buddy Guy
Merle Haggard
Ted Nugent
Prince
Glenn Frey/Don Henley
Susan Tedeschi
Phil Lynott
Travis Tritt
Jeff Lynne
James Hetfield
Tom Johnston (Doobie Brothers)
Mark Knopfler
Chris Robertson (Black Stone Cherry)
Henry, Jo Jo & Ringo Garza (Los Lonely Boys)
Charlie Daniels
Lindsey Buckingham
Sting
Jackson Browne
Brian Setzer
Neil Young
Brian Setzer
John Fogerty
Bryan Adams
Zac Brown (Zac Brown Band)
Lemmy Kilmister
Willie Nelson
Mason Keck (Jive Mother Mary)
Eric Clapton
Tom Petty
B.B. King
Bruce Springsteen

Although Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes only sings in that band, having seen him several times in other bands, he's actually a very accomplished acoustic rhythm guitar player. I saw the Chris Robinson Brotherhood twice and was very much impressed with him. Also caught him in another jam band called Green Leaf Rustlers (w/ Barry Sless, Pete Sears and John Molo), and he played acoustic all night long. And of course in both those bands, Chris handled all the vocals as well. Because the Crowes always have included two excellent lead guitarists, Robinson has always been only a vocalist in that band, at least to my knowledge anyway.
Here's a sample of Green Leaf Rustlers and Chris is actually playing electric, which I wasn't aware he did:

@robertdee The thread asked for "frontmen" who played instruments. Four frontmen in the Beatles? I suppose they all became bandleaders in the post-Fab 4 world, so I guess you're correct.
Digressing slightly, in their earliest days I (as a 6 year old kid) perceived John Lennon to be the leader (front man). Watching that Let it Be doc' a couple of years ago - it sure seemed like Macca was head dog on that sled. Regardless - the Beatles were the ultimate combination of talent and personalities. There have been better bands since but never any with greater impact on the world.
But there is another frontman who plays instruments who had as broad an influence - even on the Beatles themselves:

Gotta love Joe Walsh. Isn't there a Duane and Joe slide connection?

Posted by: @mulemewarrenGotta love Joe Walsh. Isn't there a Duane and Joe slide connection?
The ABB and James Gang both played Ludlow Garage often. Joe has said Duane gave him a few slide lessons, including open E tuning.

A gent who absolutely should be in the Rock Hall - Paul Weller.

@porkchopbob I remember in the early 70's Joe Walsh was in the cover of a music magazine and he is holding a copy of At Fillmore East and inside Joe talked about Duane advising him on some slide guitar technique.
I like the sound of this Rickenbacker guitar on slide!! ( Joe owns over 100 electric guitars)

Steve Winwood.

This list would not be complete without:
Leslie West
Rory Gallagher
also- Todd Rundgren

Forgot about SRV. And what a powerful guitarist he was!!! One of the best.
