Gov't Mule Announces Extensive Tour

http://mule.net/upcoming-shows/
Been a few years........think I gotta make this Oakland show on 9/8.

I might suggest the band go on hiatus for a year or so while Warren spends time producing other artists and playing the role of family man, The group needs to recharge and escape the almost purely workmanlike approach that afflicts their latest studio work plus escape their addiction to the sit-in on stage during their tours, Beacon runs, etc.

OK. I take it you're not real impressed with the new record, then! I have not heard it. But I'd go see them live ANY time.............
Vancouver here we come !!!

I saw em' a month ago or so & I like the new album but agree something needs to change.
Also not a fan of the guests whoever they may be.
Once in awhile is fine when it's someone of note.
Maybe focus more on their roots & on being a loud hard rock band.

Glad they are coming to Charlotte.

Just got my ticket for the " An Evening With Gov't Mule " show in Utrecht, Netherlands on the 30th of june.
I usually visit a blues festival in a nearby town accross the Belgium border on that day but i gonna skip the festival this year so i can get my dose of The Mule.

We saw them on 4/20 and loved it.
Not a fan of Hook Herrera who sat in but it was decent.
Looking forward to Artpark in July and hoping we get an Ithaca show in the Fall.
I'll go see them anytime they are within driving distance.
no complaints here.
Warren could sing the phone book and it would probably be worth the price of admission.

During their European Tours guest sit-ins are much rarer / far less frequent. Paul Stacey, Bernie Marsden, Ron Holloway, Carmine Appice, Jim McCarty and Hook Herrera a couple of times. All other shows didn't have any guests. So, personally i dig guests joining them on stage. I would "kill" for a Jimmy Herring sit-in on guitar or Ann Wilson on lead vocals.

Whenever I think of Jim McCarty I think of the blues/rock guy from Detroit. I guess because I am from there. He has played with Mitch Ryder as well as the Rockets (a very underrated band), among others. Never have seen Jimmy Herring with them. Great tour he did with the ABB in 2000 though.
