Friends of the Brothers July 30 City Winery NYC

This show is billed as a book signing for Alan Paul's new book "Brothers and Sisters".
But includes a show with the Friends of the Brothers band with special guests Duane Betts, Lamar Williams Jr, Johnny Stachela and Valor Trucks.
This has the making of an incredible night of ABB music.
I'm in !!

FYI...Friends of the Brothers includes, Junior Mack, Andy Aledort (Great Southern), and Alan Paul.
I've seen a few ABB tribute/cover bands and "Friends" is in my opinion the best. Junior Mack has the Gregg vocals down pat and can rip it on guitar and Andy is no slouch either.

lotta choices out there - Friends of the Brothers & Trouble No More look like they have common musicians - weren’t Butch’s two bands, Les Brers & Freight Train, a little like that
love seeing the music being kept out there w/these two, also the Allman Family Revival, A Brothers Revival, others - what other music is as fertile as the Allman Brothers’🎵🤙🎶🌞

Going to throw in my vote for Steelin’ Peaches out of Florida who are starting to break out nationally. Fantastic group of musicians who have their take on the music. Go see them if you have a chance.

Junior Mack was a big find for me on Jaimoe’s Renaissance Man CD - great player/vocalist, just as Andy is - always like to mention Andy’s CD w/the Groove Kings, Live at the Northstar 2009
just adore both those CDs - watta double bill this summer at the City Winery w/FOTBrothers July 30 & Great Southern Aug 1 -
STELLAR Musicians In All These Bands - 🤙thx for heads-up on Steelin Peaches

Thanks for sharing.
This is going to be a pretty special night. It is a book release show. Book is out July 25. It is, of course, really meaningful to me have Lamar, Duane and Vaylor on the show. Peter Levin and Johnny Stachela as well. I'm not going to get into all the various people playing ABB music except to say that I'm glad the music is being played and loved, and I'm all for anyone who approaches it with the right intent. Junior Mack is one of my very favorite musicians. He and Andy were long my favorite guys to play this music, and that's why I started with asking them. I didn't want to form an ABB tribute band, I wanted to get those two playing together regularly and see what would happen.
I also have a really cool event planned for Atlanta City Winery on 7/28 with End of the Line, and special guests Vaylor and Tommy Talton. I'll make a separate post about both.
Also, I finished reading the audiobook yesterday and it got me even more fired up to get this thing out to you all. Feeling really good about it (even though I discovered a few mistakes in this ifnal read, which are driving me bonkers.)
