I have really been enjoying this disc.Think it was great choice by him to do this at this time in his career. It’s got his signature blues sound, good choice of songs many I’ve never heard, and his vocals never sounded better.

Hahaha!! lol - I would bet anything would sound good under those conditions. Well, interesting anyway. Then again maybe atrocious enough to scar you for life. I could hear the molecules of the spruce top dancing man, far out the guitar strings were vibrating the key to the universal frequency, it was pure string theory man I mean like actual physics. I tried to draw the equation on the wall but then Santa Claus turned into Satan Claws rippin outta my speakers man......

Nice. Don't think Hunter Thompson could have said it better. That string theory transition into Satan Claws stuff is appropriately mind-blowing.

yes and I especially enjoyed Silent Night & White Christmas with heavy distortion and reverb in the basement.
They were both especially good & innovative by this master-Joking of course...on earlier one as well.

Seriously though, who am I to judge,if someone wants to make Christmas music..or escape to Hallmark movies. With all the political strife, fighting & anxiety lately it could be a helpful escape for many...as are various other ways. Personally though I wouldve really liked to hear a "Pink Floyd" take on a Christmas album or maybe even Lamb of God..or Korn.

Clapton performs songs from his Christmas album and talks about how he chose the songs, etc. for the album.

Snore, another Xmas album...wake me up sometime in March please.
I wonder if Duane or SRV would be doing Xmas albums if they were still around?
Or Jimi? That’d be funny.... Drop yourself, some LSD this Christmas...

Totally. It’d be great if those guys were 75 years old playing the same exact songs, the same exact way, for 50 straight years.

i am loving this album....really tasty. HOWEVER...avoid track 7 Jingle Bells....it is a bizarre techno drum track and it sucks. The balance of this record is in my opinion .....stellar. Eric Clapton is.....Santa
