She'll be "Glow"ing. He's a fun musical character.

Hey Rob! how's it going man? Glad to hear your heart will be filled with the Hill Country Blues come Valentines Day! Great way to rock, and am especially jealous for the venue, Felton Music Hall. I drove by there one Sunday morning a couple years ago on my way to the coast as Chris Robinson Brotherhood had played there some time prior and I wanted to see the place. They were getting ready for a church service there but i could not stick around. Such a one stop-light town that is Felton, great place!!!
Went on to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and hiked there before hitting Santa Cruz. Gotta love the 9 winding down to the coast from there. Great drive. And the 17 for the return to La Milpa, like driving your own roller coaster! I've not been back that way in ages, so have not looked you up, but hope you are doing well.

Hey Dennis WHASSUP Man!
Yeah Felton Music Hall is a great funky roadhouse! I actually caught Chris Robinson Brotherhood there twice, I think it was consecutive years, had to be at least 8 years back. They were great..........RIP Neil Casal, I hope you are finally at Peace, Bro. Those were the only 2 times I ever caught CRB.
I am just happy that Felton Music Hall is still up and running, it would be a shame if it closed. Being out of area you wouldn't know, but the place has gone through not one but two ownership changes in only the last two years. When I first moved up here in 1985 it was called Tampico Grande. Then for at probably 25 years it was Don Quixote's. Then a couple of years back someone else bought it and tried to turn it into an upscale steakhouse, Flynn's. I swear they were open for maybe six months or so. They kept the live music but they were trying to make it a more upscale and pricey steak restaurant. They spent what must have been nearly a year getting everything up to speed including passing all the code inspections. But in that location and with the history of being an earthy hippie bar, anyone could have pretty much predicted that this was going to FAIL! And it did. With all the time and energy they put into it, someone must have really lost their ass financially on the venture.
Anyway, now it's called Felton Music Hall. This will be my first time there under the new name but I am assuming it will be back to the funky roadhouse that it was always meant to be with a more budget minded menu. I never did make it to Flynn's but then they were open only six months or so. This place has a huge tradition of great live tunes............Railroad Earth just played there Thursday night!
