I'm not really an Elton John fan, I would prefer to listen to his earlier material than recent releases. But tonight he is playing a gig at the Widnes Select Security Stadium, (or Naughton Park as was). This is perhaps the biggest gig the town has ever staged since the Beatles in the early Sixties. We can see the Stadium from the rear bedroom window, so we are having a BBQ in the garden later. Got the food prepped, and most importantly, got the bar stocked up, and will be listening to Elton drift across the warm night air.
