Caught Tuna at the Revolution Hall in Portland last night - they smoked! Steve Kimock guest on several tunes, some long jams. Great new sound on Bowlegged, hypnotic and sinister like metallic Dead, and with the double electric guitars was hearing some Jefferplane sounds. Kimock had a Gibson Explorer as well as Jorma, so it was dual turbo Explorer there for a while. If you enjoy Electric Tuna don't miss this, they are playing Northeast soon.
Thanks for the report, going to the Eugene show in a few hours- can't wait to see Jorma and Jack electric!!!! Woohooo!!!! I even got a premium seat ticket so I could get an autographed copy of Jorma's book... 😛

Just to clarify for gear heads Kimock is playing a Charles Lobue made Explorer copy. Four were made, Steve has three and the fourth was owned by Rick Derringer.

Hot Tuna with Steve Kimock was amazing, especially on Bow Legged Woman and Walkin Blues- some really funky hot-rodded tone from Jorma and incredible solos all around! That Steve Kimock can really play, he is the perfect fit for Jorma and Jack. Here is Bowlegged Woman from Nedfest:

My brother was in the vicinity of Hotzilla last night. I picked up this transmission from the front:
"The land dinosaurs once roamed. Gigantosaur footfalls, pterodactyls screeching by"
also this garbled transmission:
"Anuttoh imnula lysdexia lol"
Which seems to be a coded message, anyone find a decoder ring in their cereal this morning?
