saw duane last week. great show and picked up the new album for just $15 at his show
I really dig his playing and his songwriting. Going to see him in September when he swings by my area
Duane Betts talks!! Recent interview. Apparently he lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming now instead of Malibu out in LA county. Said he splits time between Wyoming and his dad's guest house. Dickey has a guest house out behind his big mansion. Said Gregg Allman stayed in the guest house.
And mentions Allman Betts Band.
I thought BO Jr was in Duane's band . Looks like Pedro Arevalo is with him I think?

Whoa… new record dropped today and it sounds real good.
Watched Sweet Virginia, very sweet. That's definitely Pedro Arevalo on bass. No idea who the guitarist is.
@robslob Rob, the other guitarist is Johnny Stachela. He has been playing with Duane for a lot of years now. Was also in the Allman/Betts Band project. Kid can play..
@jszfunk supposedly BO Jr and Johnny are the reason the allman betts band are on hiatus . we will see what happens next time the allman betts band plays who is in the band
That’ll be July 27 Lewiston NY - no matter who they have in the band it’ll be a great show - hoping of course it’s still Berry & Johnny S
then July 30, Trouble No More - & Aug 1, Great Southern, both in NYC
@matt05 Well if BO Jr and Johnny are the reason Allman Betts Band is not playing ( they are playing what shows which are booked but I'm not sure who played bass) then that is a good reason Pedro is in Duane's band considering Johnny is with Duane too.
Johnny is a fine player. Especially on slide.
@robertdee i actually heard the issue is with Devon and those guys not Duane and those guys
@matt05 Oh I see. That is what I heard too last year. Devon was not getting on with some of the guys.

@jszfunk I saw this show the other night. Got Johnny to sign the new album and he said they are doing the Allman Betts Band shows on the books this year. Said everyone are friends this year and both bands are doing well.
Berry Duane Allman is the bass player on Duane Betts' new solo album and was suppose to be on this tour but it's Pedro on bass. Decided not to ask about that as Pedro was standing right there and grabbed my copy and signed it too.
Johnny played an SG and his lead and slide work was very good. Duane played a GoldTop Les Paul and had some nice solos especially on Blue Sky where he really stretched it out.
Looked like Dickey's tour bus sitting out back with an equipment trailer attached to it.
Duane's wife was running the merchandise table in the front. Palmetto Motel is the name Duane gave Dickey's guest house and where he (they?) often stay.
Dickey and Donna live of course in the big house on the property.
Had to stay in the bed all day the next day. I'm too old to be on my feet that long. Decided not to bring my walker into a crowded place.

Yes; I had heard the same from someone I would call a very reliable source. I wasn't exactly surprised.
