Duane Allman Anthology

I saw a movie the other day at my daughters house that was a Duane bio. Never knew about it . A lot of talking and only snippets of music but I enjoyed it immensely. Talked about Duane from growing up through Allman Joys, Hourlglass and ABB. Gave real insight from his friends and associates into his passion and drive. One guy even contrasted ABB to Led Zeppelin, which I found very interesting while watching clips of both bands. He had a line about showmanship and how when one is a virtuoso nothing can top it . No amount of showmanship can top a genius when he is in the zone. I couldn't have agreed more. I'm sure some here have seen it and would love comments.

this is the 1st Ive heard of it
What network were you watching? I would love to see it

Don't really know but my daughter doesn't have cable so it must have been something like netflix, hulu or amazon. If you can check it out it was great. One thing I didn't agree with was some guy talking about layla. He was saying that was Duane at his best and it was because Clapton pushed him. This guy didn't seem to regard Dickey as highly. They also talked a lot about Duane's session with Wilson Pickett and his pushing Wilson to do Hey Jude. They claim this tune broke Duane and he really got noticed afterwards. I must say I never listened to the solo as intensely as during this film and Duane really smokes it.

It's probably Song of the South
I just re-watched that one this month while I was stuck around the house for a few days following a surgery that my wife had, so it is pretty fresh in my head. Everything described in the first post is in there. It's got to be the one he watched.

Yes that is it. Has anyone here seen it.
