What's the low down on this show? Is it an excellent show with excellent sound?

Since I want everything I can get my hands and ears on of the original 6 I bought it. I think I listened to it twice since then. Performance is good however the sound is not so good.
Glad I have it though...they were a helluva a band.

The performance as usually for the original band is high energy. But as Steved said, the fidelity is just so so. It's an audience recording that surfaced and was released because it was just weeks from Duane's accident.
Here is a track.

I happen to like the recording, nice version of One Way Out and Dickey has a killer long solo on Liz Reed. I love hearing new stuff from the original 6 despite not being the greatest recording but still listenable to my ears. Way better sounding than The Final Note.

I think it is a very decent listen warts and all compared to other Duane era bootlegs I have.
Any unreleased new Duane era recording is welcome. I could never understand someone complaining about SQ for a new show. We should thank our lucky stars that the band is willing to take the chance to release these rare recordings knowing they will take abuse for the SQ, packaging, accuracy of the notes etc.
We should stop complaining and just enjoy the fact that they gave us a new unreleased show. Would anyone prefer the band not release this rare music?
This is not directed to those in this thread but just an observation that every time the band does a new release someone seems to find a reason to bitch about something that is not perfect. Just sit back with your favorite cocktail or smoke and enjoy.

I would be curious to know how Down In Texas compares to The Final Note in terms of SQ/if one show is more burning than the other etc - am sure both shows rock - I love the ABB
