Recently Gregg has said it is the song that lead to Laid Back, because the band rejected it and he was so proud of it. I doubt they have played it as well, but it's worth checking the database here.
It looks like the database has the ABB as playing (by my rough math) 2,085 shows over the years. How many of them have setlists? I couldn't find a way to determine that. I am a little shocked that "No One To Run With" made the top 15 of all time plays.

These don't really count as ABB shows though. They are all shows from 1986 & 1 from 87 where G.A.B. played & DBB opened. DB & Warren would join GAB on stage at the end to do a few ABB songs. The beginning of a reunion. In every case Queen of Hearts was played by the G.A.B. and was not a part of the collaboration at the end.
I was interested in this because the first concert I wanted to attend but was not able to was the Georgia Jam at Fulton Co. Stadium on 6/01/74. I was very young. Friends told me the ABB set was not great. They were pretty messed up. I also heard they been dosed/poisoned via something added to the onion dip if you will. One friend was adamant that they had played Queen of Hearts. I'm guessing they did not. There seems to be no record of the ABB playing it ever.

I'm not too surprised since it was probably their biggest commercial hit of the 1990s, and was one of the "go to" encores for the last lineup over the last 14 years.

Well I'm guessing out of those 942 there were at least 700 that don't have recorded setlists. So I'm sure the number is much smaller without Statesboro.

I think I've read interviews or articles over the years that Gregg has alluded to or said this.
Great song. The horn and piano solos are a nice touch. Anybody ever looked at the chords in this song... interesting.

Actually, Warren was not in Dickey's band in 1986-1987. The guitarists that fronted the combined GAB/DBB band at the end of those shows was Dickey + Dangerous Dan I am pretty certain.
Warren was Dickey's guitarist in 86-87, and Matt Abts was his drummer. Dan Toler was Gregg's guitarist on that tour, hence the confusion.
I didn't think Warren joined Dickey's band until late 87 or early 88.

One of my favorite G.A. songs of all time. Been trying to learn it on the keys here lately but when the bridge goes into 11/4 time my fingers go haywire. IMO I would rather see Oncoming Traffic on a tour, or even a studio version, such a good song.

I don't believe that is correct. Chris somebody played guitar with Dickey in 86. I just can't think of his last name.
Chris Merrell was his name. He died a few years back and Dickey even did some guitar auction for a benefit for him when he got sick.
I am certain because I started a new job in Dec. of '86. I had only been there a few weeks at the time the 2 bands played the Holiday Star Theater in Merilville,In. and had to go into work hung over the day after the show. It was Warren at the Holiday Star.
My memory is fuzzy. I do recall catching a Gregg/Dickey show at the old EM Lowes theater in Worcester MA. It was just before " I'm No Angel" was released & Warren was in Dickey's band. So '87?
They played songs from "Pattern Disrupted" too..
I saw a bunch of those combo shows. Players were going on & off the stage all the time during the end set...
Prior to that it was Dangerous Dan & Dickey.
Your memory is better than you think jcb. I also remember Dickey's band doing Pattern Disruptive songs before the album was released - Duane's tune in particular. I am 100% sure on this.
