Hafta say, that reads a bit weird.  At first you think it is Dickey Betts & GS, but then the description is more like Dickey Betts is the promoter and is presenting the band (without himself).  I guess the intent is to give it Dickey's blessing and also monetize his name a little bit for the band and help with ticket sales.  Just hope it doesn't confuse folks expecting Dickey to be there.

Awesome lineup w\Lee Roy Parnell, David Stoltz, Kris Jensen & those other GS players -

one recalls how good that rhythm section of Pedro Arevalo & Frankie Lombardi was too -

thanks for keeping the music out there - wonder what bands like Trouble No More & A Brother’s Revival will be up to this summer

Awesome to see Allman-Betts Band shows on the schedule🎸🎵🙏

Doug Gray fills that role at MTB shows, as sort of the presenter - doubtful Dickey’d be there 8/1 but ya never know

this looks to me like the ABB’s Trouble No More - they’re both billed as “Allman Brothers/Dickey Betts Present Trouble No More/Great Southern” in the two separate bands/billings

did TNM ever play those rescheduled Brothers & Sisters 50th-year-of-release shows in Boulder recently

@stephen A Billy Joel then Elton John recreation bands are coming to my area this summer.

It seems to be the going thing these days to appear as a cover/tribute band for a famous band or artist.

That didn't seem to happen much years ago except for the Elvis impersonators.

I think this is likely a rumor. But back in the 1980's it was going around that there was an Elvis impersonators contest in the mid 70's, I think maybe in Memphis, a couple of years before Elvis died, an Elvis wore sunglasses and shaggy clothes and using a fake name signed up to participate.

Out of 7 contestants the real Elvis performing incognito came in 3rd. Two contestants did a better job being Elvis than Elvis himself.

Dickey is my favorite guitarist/singer/song writer and Dickey's sound and writing was huge for the Allman Brothers.

Like Gregg and Duane, the Allman Brothers Band wouldn't be the band it was without Dickey's guitar and later singing and his song writing. Blue Sky, Revival, Elizabeth Reed, Ramblin' Man, Jessica, Southbound and on and on proves how key and huge Dickey was to that band.

Dickey will be 80 in December and it's my understanding he doesn't play on stage anymore. Also I think he doesn't have the chops anymore too. If that is true then that is okay. We have so much recorded music by Dickey that is wonderful. Dickey hasn't a thing to prove. His legacy is set and secure.

DICKEY!!!

Just a friendly bump to see if anyone went to this or the ensuing ones on the itinerary - have nosed around, see/hear 0 - Atlanta should’ve been a good draw for them last night

No bounceback from ABB-related shows, such as Allman Brothers Present, Dickey Betts Presents, recent/upcoming Allman-Betts gigs etc….

shows what a crawl this place has slowed down to✌️just sayin✌️

mine is not to judge

read part of the FB account of July 30 NYC w/Trouble No More, was quite a lengthy review, sounded like a good show

two more dates on this current Great Southern run after tonite in Nashville - last one next week Chicago
