Dickey Betts - "Midnight Special"

"Southbound"...Wolfman Jack intro:
Charlie Daniels
Elvin Bishop
Bonnie Bramlett

Very cool ... Thanks for sharing.

When Charlie Daniels wrote "The South is Going to do it Again" with the line "people down in Georgia come from near and far to hear Richard Betts picking on that RED guitar ", Dickey's number one was a sunburst Les Paul with zebra pickups. Just a few months later Dickey found Goldie, a 1957 Les Paul Goldtop at a pawn shop in Manhattan.
But I remember when he would play with Charlie back in the 70's, Dickey several times would use a sunburst back up guitar so it would fit when Charlie sang that song. But Elvin Bishop wouldn't be sitting on a bail of hay:)

He ain't good lookin', but he sure can play, Hehe heh, I dig me some Elvin, I may have to grab a few discs for a revisit. Some tunes I lovce by him jump in my head Slow Down and Give Me Some Of That Money, Good stuff!
It was nice to see Dan and Frankie up there too.

That's funny, when The Gregg Allman Band was on the Midnight Special Elvin Bishop was there as well.
