Only a short notification because i am using a crappy laptop but during my current visit to Berlin, Germany i wanted to visit the Allman Betts Band show at the Lido theatre in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Unfortunally there was a last moment cancelation notification on the door. Today Devon Allman was taken to a Berlin Hospital due to an accute appendicites. I have no further information. Lets hope for a full recovery. Get well soon Devon!

Devon has had an appendectomy and needs time to recover.

In addition to the Berlin show, tomorrows show (July 31st) in Nuremburg and next Saturdays show (Aug 3rd) in London have also been cancelled.

Wishing Devon a speedy recovery …

Anyone heard any updates on this?

I was just thinking about what must've been a grueling several day stretch of trans-Atlantic flights and to what extent being up in the air for so long over a short period of time could've exacerbated this condition. Really grateful he was on the ground and within medical care when things got bad.

Just checked and there is nothing other than he had emergency surgery in Berlin, Germany and is recovering at hospital and shows through August 3rd are canceled.

Devon is on a video in Hamburg, Germany standing with some bandages on his arms probably were IVs were used thanking everyone for reaching out and their prayers concerning his sudden illness and surgery. Shows including tomorrow in London have been canceled.

Duane Betts flew back to the states.

Looks like the doctors ordered Devin to rest up. Next 31 shows have been postponed into September.

Reading this a little closer, it looks like it's more than doctors telling Devon to "rest up". This press release mentions and "upcoming surgery". Hope Devon is ok.

Band's own message (s) on-line reference an appendectomy, which from personal experience, requires surgery and rest.

He had surgery in Germany. Now doctors here in America told him he needs more surgery and he can not perform or exert himself until late September. But know mention of the problem. Supposedly the appendix surgery was completed in Germany and Devon appeared on his website in a video standing outside with a few bandages on his arms saying he needs to cancel through August 3rd.

Must be more complicated now. Doctors have ordered him off his feet for over a month with more surgery coming.

When I saw him last year, I thought he looked unhealthy. He was overweight, very sweaty, and disheveled looking. I thought for someone just coming out to perform, it was odd. The performance was not ABB band just him. It was flat and uninspired to be honest. Hoping he focuses on himself. Fame and the road ain't worth bad health. Best to him in healing.
