DEEP PURPLE Performs Aboard 'Rock Legends Cruise X' and set list

Thanks so much for posting Scott. Just listened to Lazy and damn the band sounds great. Will get to more later. Ian's voice, always the big question mark, sounded just awesome. The new guitar player sounds WAY up to the task and it is an enormous task. What's his name?

I don't know, but to me the performances are pretty lifeless. Gillen just seems to be going through the motions.
The new guitar player, Simon McBride, does a great job playing the old Blackmore era songs and at least shows some energy. Actually like him more than the Morse performances I have seen who seemed totally bored playing the old material.
I know the rest of the band is getting up there in age but thought they could show a bit more energy.

Yes, Simon McBride seems to have the chops and skill level no doubt. Lotsa fire there. It will be interesting to see what happens next with the band as far as studio work. Steve mentioned before he left the band that he was in the studio with DP , so I guess they were writing? So I assume they were working up a new album. I would like to see what they could do with Mr McBride and what he brings to the table.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Here are some tour dates, unfortunately most are overseas.

Have to admit I am not a fan of the Morse era DP albums. Not that they are bad but they just don't do anything for me. Maybe I am just jaded by the Blackmore era material.
I do admire Morse as aguitar player and the wife and I are going to see the Steve Morse band next Friday here in Boston.
