Bloodkin is one of my favorite under the radar bands, sad to see Daniel having some health issues. There is a link to the Go Fund Me page to help with his medical expenses if anyone wants to give. As a music lifer, I'm guessing he doesn't have insurance.
Daniel released a great new album "The Beautiful Vicious Cycle Of Life" earlier this year.
This is a real bummer. A lot of folks in this forum probably don't know Bloodkin but if you're into smart and rootsy southern rock, you should check these guys out. I really like the disc "Baby, They Told Us We Would Rise Again". One great track is "Summer in Georgia".
I'll be sending some positive thoughts of support to Daniel.
Saw Bloodkin and Todd Nance's band open for ... Dickey(?) in B'ham some years ago ... I believe... Could be my imagination ... Remember the one guitarist for Bloodkin had a Keef thing going.
