Cool guitars made from reclaimed Detroit material

That's really cool. Nice to have a piece of the city live on.
Reminds me of Carmine Street Guitars in NYC who makes similar Telecaster-style guitars with reclaimed wood from demolished NYC buildings.
I think this is one from an old church that recently burned down in midtown:

Really neat. Good lookin axes. So much incredible old growth wood in those old places, terrible to think how much fantastic material was thrown away when they did away with 19th century houses. The recyclers are waking up just in time.

Yeah, haha, and then most guitarists create trash out of something of value. Round and round it goes.

It would be cool to have a guitar made out of an old British Royal Navy ship.

Speaking of cool guitars, if anyone digs cool custom guitars you should check out Daddy Mojo Instruments out of Montreal. He started making cigar box guitars, and now he's making guitars out of old beer crates and diner tables.

I just bought a cool 40's dinner table with the art deco chrome sides. Now I want a friggin axe to match

Not trying to hi-jack the thread by any means, but there is a guy here in Kentucky that makes guitars from used bourbon barrels. Pretty cool stuff. http://www.bourbonbarrelguitar.com/
