Has anyone heard this guy's music? Billy Gibbons listed his latest album as one of his favorite albums of 2016, so I went online and listened to it, along with his other 2 albums. Really good!! Great soul music. He's 68 now, and seems like he would've been noticed alot sooner than this. Listen to him when you get a chance.

I saw him open for grace potter 2 years ago....he was very James Brown like...band was a bunch of guys you would never match with him by looking at them but they were fantastic....Bradley was really entertaining...well worth seeing if you like soul....

He has an amazing story. If you are interested in his career and his rise to fame in his 60's, there is a great documentary called "Soul Of America" that tell his story from down on his luck James Brown impersonator to being discovered by the people behind Daptone records and the release of his debut album.

Everyone should check it out.

He was also only of the featured performers on the recent Luke Cage show (not a variety show 😉 but a Harlem music club is a featured location so there's a rotation of musicians)

And what makes it extra sad that his late artistic and commercial success is now in jeopardy due to his recent cancer diagnosis. All his (European) Tour dates in this winter have been cancelled. And what makes it even more dramatic is the fact this label Daptone Records, the epic centre of the recent old school Soul Music revival, already recently lost their hottest artist, the great late Sharon Jones (also to effin' cancer). Let's hope for a full recovery for Charles Bradley and many more healthy years with sweet soul music!!!

I've seen him a couple times, he's good live. The albums are all solid.

There's a killer documentary out on how the Dap Tone guys found him like a diamond in the rough and just totally turned his life around. It's a real feel good story and he's a beautiful person and incredibly grateful.........he recently was diagnosed with cancer, I hope he's doing okay.
