I'm premiering a new 1/23/71 remaster at 7pm CST tonight. The premiere feature allows us to listen together and chat live. It'll be like going to the show :).

So cool, great idea☄️
willie wrote about these shows in his book

”...for a 2 day run at the Capitol Theatre in Portchester [sic]. Poor-quality amateur tapes exist of those shows but the performances were memorable.”

how cool is it that seemingly-irretrievable stuff like this, the Final Note, 9/16, 5/2/70, part of 2/28/71 etc...in the hands of folks like yourself & other music heads who have the technology down, can be brought back to life so well - still gotta give 6/5/71 a good another listen☀️

& again - for those long Instrumental passages we all love....these remasters are gold, have dug this show for many years, actually one of my newer additions (7-8 years😮🙃) & another remastered gem - great one to ‘premiere’ with!🤙

Indeed top notch ABB performance with very good fidelity.

Thank you so much.

Got my second Pfizer Covid vaccination shot yesterday and today I feel a bit sluggish with a sore left arm so this is just what the doctor ordered for me.

So glad you guys enjoyed. We will be doing this again next week with 5/31/71, the uncirculated show. Smile

Edit: 5/31 is not uncirculated and is 5/2/71

Sorry about confusion

/p>

The Johnny B. Good was a surprise. Dickey teased it before they did a full version. Dickey really knew how to do that Chuck Berry thing.

“I would like to try to sing but the cats in my band insist I cannot sing a note. I sing on the street until I get around one of them, then it just kinda dies off - they look at me hard. My voice is a scapegoat”

always like that quote from the Anth I booklet - he tries on TNMore on another disc too, but Duane’s singing is passable on Dimples, & of course perfect for GDSlow

this is a great show alright - there are a lot of them too

best damn band in the land🤙🎵🎶
