Run, don't walk, to see the California Guitar Trio.

These guys are amazing. Imagine 3 Tommy Emmanuels, almost, or at least with the same kind of vision and humor and chops. Spread out among 3 people. They also all studied under Robert Fripp.

These 3 acoustic instrumentalist guys burn through surf tunes, covers of Radiohead and the Beatles, a few Bach tunes, and plenty of instrumentals.

They have an amazing sense of interplay. While they play a variety of styles such as surf music pretty straight up, they also have their Fripp influence, so some songs did have that amazing guitar interplay like Fripp & Belew had, interlocking circles of picking patterns. Plus some eBow and some dissonance as needed.

It was just the most bad-ass display of chops combined with melodic sense and compositional vision!!! And this comes on the heels of seeing Dweezil doing Frank Zappa tunes. SHeesh.
