Butch said on his blog it is broken French for " less brothers" and a reference to Duane's death.

Yeah, I know, we've been over this. He said that in Alan Paul's book one time, but he was just speaking metaphorically, that's not what it means. It is creole the "The Brothers".

Lee I thought you mentioned from some time ago that you enjoyed robertdee’s ‘fandom’ depicted in his writings here - due respect back at ya

I probably said something along the lines of respecting it, which I do, he is obviously a big fan. Now. Reading about it incessantly is a totally different thing. We all know his experiences. Why constantly read about them? Makes me not want to post anything music-related as it will likely get spun in a different direction.

Guess I should stick to the sports threads. Wink

The same stuff over & over & over & over

@stephen I saw Derek in Clapton's band. I didn't have good seats. Back aways. But could see the players on the big screen. I recalled Derek doing something similar in Clapton's band and this is very similar.

And I remember Derek knocking it out of the park with Clapton on this song!! Clapton seemed to really enjoy having Derek in his band for that tour at least the night I got to see them.

@stephen Someone I know in Nashville said he understands Jack Pearson hasn't been doing well. I hope that is wrong.

I thought about seeing Jack holding a note for a good while on slide guitar. Here it is. Click on "youtube". Still havent found Derek holding a long note but I'm sure it is crazy good.

Check out Pearson!!

I read that too. I recall reading he's got arthritis and unable to play his guitar as of late, which would be a damn shame.

hehe, good one bro (meant to say so b4)

but holy stuff - I’m all mixed up

ChiHawks - they’re becoming the Donald Trump of sports

”ChiHawks Accused Of Fraud, Sexual Harassment”

also, “top golfer taken into police custody”

so that’s partly why I’m always jumping threads - my rambling stream of consciousness is always jumping the banks😵‍💫

I think Butch Trucks would liked this thread; I certainly did. Like Butch himself, not to mention old Duane, flat out and laying it all out there. A real Butch Trucks thread. Play it, guys.
