Brother Chuck.....

Chuck Is incredible. He basically re shaped the Brothers with his piano playing which was the perfect move after Duane died. They were still powerful, vibrant and creative. His playing on Gregg and Dickeys solo albums is outstanding then he goes on to Sea Level.
What a treasure

Heard Jessica on the radio yesterday, the piano solo leading into Dickey's solo just superb.
Chuck really shines on Brothers & Sisters.

His baby Grand intro on the Black Crowes "She Talks to Angels " is sublime....

Saw Chuck along with Mike Mills (REM) and Robert McDuffie (and the amazing string ensemble!) this past Friday in Savannah. The program was centered on songs either written by or performed by Georgians. Selections included Chuck's, "Rain in Spain" (Sea Level) and a version of "Jessica" with strings. Great show - as you'd expect from anything involving Chuck!

I feel the same way about his work on Train's "Drops of Jupiter."

Í thought this thread was about Chuck Rickli. He's right up there with that Leavell guy, whoever he is,
