Yes Fleetwood Mac was under tremendous pressure to equal or top Rumors with Tusks. Just like the Eagles with Hotel California and Black Crows after the huge success of their first album. Suddenly having an album that sells MILLIONS of copies can be a curse. The record company just made huge bucks and millions of fans are wanting something just as good or better.

The ABB had Brothers and Sisters in 1973 and surprised even themselves when it sold million of copies and was number one out of two hundred positions on the Billboard chart for FIVE WEEKS.

But with the Allman Brothers there was no pressure. Just hope from Phil Walden they wouldn't break up and give him another album. Phil waited on solo albums and tours to get done then when he got the band to agree to follow up Brothers and Sisters, Gregg, obviously feeling no pressure and apparently not much interest in even being in the ABB, settled in Los Angeles and refused to be in Macon where the album was being recorded. Only Jaimoe, Chuck and Lamar were at the studio everyday ready to get to work.

Willie Perkins talked about that experience and how much difficulty Johnny Sandlin and Capricorn had getting that album done. That half of the band just didn't give a shake! Finally had to take the tapes to Los Angeles, California to get Gregg on the album.

On the plus side Gregg did contribute two nice originals including the title track and Dickey had High Falls which is a wonderful instrumental. But the rest of the album was uneven and jaded and it went gold but not platinum ( 1 million or more sold). Not close to the 5 million plus sales of Brothers and Sisters.

The next year the band broke up.

One of the ABB's best instrumental pieces is on Win Loose or Draw, an album that critically and commercially compared to Brothers and Sisters a flop!
