Bonnie Raitt, I love this woman!

Just sayin'
She's the complete package. Beautiful, Sweet, and My Lord what a talent.
I taped parts of the Americana Fest in NYC this weekend, the whole Jayhawks show, part of the Chuck Berry tribute both were from Saturday. I spent too much "hangin' w/Mama" time in Central Park and arrived to massive lines for the Bonnie show. I got sent to the standing room only section in the back of the park/venue on W 62nd bet Amsterdam and Columbus. I finagled myself in the front section and captured her last 4 songs. I have loved her since the '70's and she is a queen in my ears, eyes, & heart.
If I Can't Make You Love Me
Crazy Love (She gives love, love, love)
Burnin' Down The House
Your Sweet And Shiny Eyes

I just saw her open for James Taylor here in the Bay area on July 29th.
She only did an hour set, but man, that one hour really knocked me backwards!! She's got it all...........supreme blueswoman...........excellent guitar playing..........pristine voice..........rocks a bit when she feels like it.
Here's a stunning Angel From Montgomery:

Just went to see her opening for Jame Taylor, too. Truthfully, if it hadn't have been for her opening the show, I wouldn't have gone to see JT. He turned out to have a great 2 hour show, too.
Also saw Bonnie on her "Slipstream" tour. I really like that Mike Finnegan is now on keyboards in her band.
See her if you can!

yea - saw her at Fenway opening for JT. I was more excited about Bonnie. JT does put on a great show, though.
Highlights were Angel and Love me Like a Man. Also the last song of the night was a duet with James and Bonnie on Acoustic - You Can Close Your Eyes. It was beautifule
I would love to have heard I can't Make you Love Me or Your Sweet and Shining Eyes.
